Who are we?
Us
We are Dr. Denver Cheddie and Indira Rampaul-Cheddie. I am an ordained minister in the Church of God, as well as an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering. My wife Indira is an attorney-at-law.
But take away all of those man-made accolades – we are just regular folk who struggle with the same issues that most born-again Christians struggle with. Our desire is to see fellow believers find answers to life’s problems in the Word of God, and our job is to help you find those answers.
That’s what Bible Issues is about – helping and empowering Christians to study the Bible for themselves, to find answers, and to strengthen their faith in the process.
Our Motto
It is our conviction that the Bible is the ultimate source of Truth, and preachers are, at best, merely conveyors of that Truth. What the Bible teaches is more important than what any church believes – and unfortunately they are not always the same.
It is our belief that interpreting the Bible requires a sharp logical mind, and a degree of fearlessness in tackling difficult questions that no one else wants to ask, much less answer. We are not afraid of going against the masses when we feel traditional interpretations of scripture are flawed. Hey somebody has to do the dirty work.
Devotion and learning the Scripture must never resort to doctrine and dogma. We must learn to think and engage with the Bible’s teachings more meaningfully.
Our History
Bible Issues first started as a Bible school project back in 2001. However, once we realized that more and more people were frequently reading our content and being blessed by it, we decided to devote more time and effort to it. We have added more articles and audio sermons that address a greater diversity of topics.
We started writing books in 2017. So far we have written three books, and more are on the way.
What We Do
We have published more than 90 articles and a variety of audio sermons discussing a wide range of Bible topics.
We have also published two books and one free e-book.
Even though we are Pentecostal / Protestant, we do not teach from the perspective of any particular denomination. Our focus is on discovering the truths of what the Bible teaches, and sharing that truth.
